Miguel L. Garibaldi of San Diego said he always dreamed of having a career that would make his family proud. Today he is leaving that dream.
Garibaldi of the US Navy, along with two other local sailors, will attend the Pacific Airshow this weekend in Huntington Beach. The event, which kicks off Friday, will feature the US Navy Blue Angels as the team celebrates its 75th anniversary. Other popular air teams include the Canadian Snowbirds, the US Air Force ACC F-35 Lightning II Demonstration Squad, and the US Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey Demonstration Team.
Garibaldi, an aircraft mechanic, said he was honored to participate in the event.
“I have the honor to show the professionalism of the military and how much I love doing my job while making connections across the country,” Garibaldi said.
Cameron Tuzon, aircraft mechanic, and Moises Mercado, aircraft structure mechanic, share the honor of participating in the air show.
“My favorite part of my job is traveling across the country, telling people about what I do and what we do as a team, and hopefully cheer up everyone we meet in. along the way, ”Mercado said.
The event is open to the public with entrance tickets starting at $ 25 per person. Children 5 and under are free.
