LOS ANGELES, March 8, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Member of the World Surf League World Class Marketing Team (Felipe Marcondes), two block employees (Isaac Kironde, Ronny Shields) and a former professional athlete (Devin Del Do) reunite to launch their first NFT collection, GROMS.

The idea for GROMS was born out of the group’s shared passions for surfing, promoting diversity and maintaining a growth mindset. They believe that through the power of NFTs and blockchain technology, they can build a global community filled with people who share values and a desire to improve.

“I believe blockchain technology can level the playing field, erase previous barriers to entry, and help create a more inclusive society. The more I researched the NFT space, the more I saw how powerful this technology was powerful in building communities. With the current lack of representation in technology, I found it very important to contribute to a project focused on diversity.” – Isaac Kironde

The GROMs project will release a fixed amount of NFTs at the start March 2022. Each holder will be entered into routine raffles that will provide airfare and accommodation to amazing destinations around the world. The travel raffle aligns with GROMS’ commitment to diversity as it provides opportunities for members of their community to experience different cultures. The GROMs project will also buy beach houses while providing exclusive access to its owners. NFT GROMs will serve as digital passes. Through their digital attributes (known as metadata), the team will have a way to identify holders through a secure method without duplication (blockchain) and offer rewards to those who qualify.

“The GROMS project will not just stop at NFTs. We will continue to show ourselves as individuals, no matter how uncomfortable it may be to continue driving change and learning every step of the way.” – Ronny Shields

In addition to the travel benefits, the GROMS project is privileged to announce the Black Girls Surfing Organization (BGS) as a non-profit partner! This partnership will help the team learn more about the specific diversity issues plaguing the surfer community and provide them with opportunities to help out. The GROMs project also plans to share its learnings from the NFT space with BGS and also provide a financial donation to the organization.
