Registration in schools in three counties: New Hanover, Pender nearly 100 cases of Covid-19, Brunswick follows more than 150

SOUTHEAST NC – Schools in New Hanover County have reported 94 cases of Covid-19 for the week of September 20. In addition, 104 quarantines have been documented on the NHCS Online Public Scoreboard.

(NHCS figures are not captured in real time, which means some data may be delayed. The dashboard is updated once a week on Fridays and some current cases may not be reflected until the release of the reports. totals for the following week.)

Since the start of the school year, the NHCS has registered a total of 822 positive cases. Here is the breakdown for the week of September 20:

Schools in Brunswick County are reporting 158 active cases of Covid-19, including three at central office. More than 400 people were in quarantine as a precaution on Friday afternoon, according to the online newspaper dashboard.

Since the first day of school on August 23, the school system has registered a total of 451 positive cases.
