The coasts of the Kalayaan Islands will have rough to very high seas (waves up to 12 meters), making it risky for all types of vessels.

At 4 a.m., the eye of Typhoon Rai was 320 km northwest of the island of Pag-asa, Kalayaan, Palawan. It has maximum sustained winds of 195 km / h near the center and gusts of up to 240 km / h. Rai is moving west to northwest at 25 km / h. From its center, strong or stronger winds extend outward up to 400 km.
