After many delays, the Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection ship Evrima will finally set sail, ready to take to the water on October 15.
Evrima is a luxurious ship, taking on the appearance of a yacht despite its 10-deck interior. Decor is as elegant as you’d expect from the Ritz Carlton, with luxury furnishings dotting the interior of the ship.
The first crossing will be a seven-night voyage from Barcelona to Nice, with the ship passing through the Balearic Islands and Mallorca in Spain, as well as a stopover in Saint-Tropez, France.
This sailing comes after eight different delays, mostly related to construction, with the ship originally due to sail three years ago. Guests have expressed frustration over repeated cancellations, but the frustration finally seems to be coming to an end, 33 months after the scheduled departure date.
Evrima makes. its beginnings in a cruising landscape of small cruise ships designed in the style of a yacht also come to the fore. Emerald Cruises, Four Seasons and Scenic Luxury Cruises all recently announced build or sail dates for similar ships.
Ritz-Carlton also announced the construction of two other ships for the brand which will be built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. These two ships are expected to set sail in 2024 and 2025.
